4, New timing belt and pulleys has arrived:

Always exiting when new parts arrive, will they fit ?

Not sure about that, I couldn't get exactly what I want, just close.

Timing belt and pulleys:

EQ6 Mount, New timing belt and pulleys has arrived

I got the correct parts I ordered and they look good. But there is one thing, the 60 teeth pulley was a bit wider than I expected, the teeth is 10 mm wide not 7 mm. There was no information about the size of the width more then it fit 6 mm timing belt. I have wrote to them and asked if it was the correct pulley I got.

Now I got the answer, it's correct, I just misunderstood. I have to do some machining work anyway, just a little bit more to do.

16 teeth pulley:

The small 16 teeth pulley is just a bolt on work. The locking screws is hidden by the bracket frame, not a big problem.

60 teeth pulley:

This maybe cause more or less work to have it fit. The 60 teeth pulley is too big to fit, which I already know when I ordered it.

To wide, some machining needed.

It don't get deep down enough to be inline with the opening.

Hub diameter:

First I check with the original spur gear which maximum hub diameter I can have. It's now 20 mm plus a margin of 4 mm. The drill's size is 2 mm and just fit between the spur and the chassis. To be on the safe side, maximum diameter I can have is 23 mm.

The 60 teeth pulley's hub has a diameter of 29 mm, need a lathe to take it down. Any problem? Yes, I don't have a lathe but used to have it from my earlier works.

Teeth width:

The width of the teeth is 10 mm, I have to take it down to 7 mm.

Hub length:

In this space the hub length must fit, 16 mm.

The overall length is 19 mm, 3 mm will be cut from the teeth, need to take away one more mm on the other side.

Now I must think about these needed machining works to be done and plan before I start machining the pulleys.
