Data base of lenses that APT can focus in manual mode:1, Introduction:When using camera lenses and remote focusing them there is a problem. My lenses have to be in AF (Auto Focus) mode to be remote focus operated. When the focus is set I have to switch the camera button to MF (Manual Focus). If I don't do that the lens will auto focus every time I shot a new photo. That is what it should do but not very useful in astrophoto. To my surprise I read at the APT forum that some lenses can be remote focus controlled when in MF mode. The APT forum thread is here I sent a question to Ivo who is the owner of the APT forum if it couldn't be made a simple data base of these lenses to get a better overview. He thought it could be a good idea but haven't the time to do it and suggested that I collect the information in a data base of my own homepage and link to this forum. That's what I have done here in a form of a table.

2, Data base:This table list the auto focus lenses and how they can be operated by APT ( Astro Photography Tool) when remote controlling the focus of the lens. Table divided in prime and zoom lenses, sorted by focal length. Note: this table is setup only to get a better overview of the information from the APT forum. Have a look at the APT forum if you need more details.
