Planning our trip from Alicante to Barcelona

Now it is autumn again with darkness and cold. Then it's time for us to plan a new trip to more southern regions. We have visited Spain many times. But we still have part of the coastline to cover. This time we have chosen to go to Alicante and from there by bus and train to Barcelona. We have 12 days, so we have time to stop at many places on the way.

I have visited Alicante earlier in 2010, very beautiful place. That time we visited Alicante in December, this time we plan to go in October. But it was difficult to find flight tickets and we had to book the tickets later, in November.

Benidorm:

Is it just a tourist place ? Maybe just a stop for some hours.

On YouTube videos it looks nice, but it's a small place. Just a day stop planned.

Valenica:
