Four days in Brussels in Belgium, 2011

Day 1, Arriving at Brussels

In May 2011 we decided to take a four day trip to Brussels.

These four days at Brussels we only stayed in the central area of the city.

Arriving at Brussels:

Two hours from we left Stockholm we arrived in Brussels. From here we must fins a bus that take us into the center of Brussels.

After a while we found a bus that go almost all the way to our hotel. We had to walk or take the subway one station the last bit.

Midi Station, Brussels:

Now the problem, this was 13 years ago and now I don't remember all places we visited. More information will come the coming weeks. Here we had jump off the bus.

This area where we jumped off the bus is close to the railway station and the Department of Social Security. Now we took the subway one station to Bourse Beurs which is closer to our hotel. We found our Hotel Mozart after a while and could check in and leave our luggage.

Now we could start looking for a restaurant where we could eat. We decided to eat at the restaurant La Table du Midi, a big beef for me. Not the one on the photo.

We spend the next hours to walk around the areas where we live.

We were lucky to have a Jazz festival on the main square these days.

Beurs Bourse:

This is the Brussels Stock Exchange building.

Town House of Brussels:

Behind the house we see the tower of Town House on the Great-Place.

Hotel Mozart:

We stayed at the hotel Mozart in the center of the city. Only one block away from the square Grand-Place.

Galleries Royales St Hubert:

This gallerie was inaugurated in 1847.

We have so many restaurants to choose from.

Brussels Town Hall:

At Grand-Place (Main Square) you find the Brussels Town Hall, 96 meter high and built 1401-1455.

The music band are soon starting their jazz concert.

In Brussels I don't think you have to worry where to find a beer.

Our visit in Brussels started good, a lot of nice restaurants to choose from. Our hotel Mozart is very good too.
