Day 4, Zadar, the beach walk:

Zadar, we get a new room:

Today we change to a new room for the coming two days, but first breakfast in the old room.

A view out from our big window in the kitchen. Most building's facades looks like this if not towards the main street. But inside the apartment is renovated.

Walking to the beach:

Today we take a beach walk, walk through the Southern Landward gate and follow the street Ul Krajla Dmitra Zvonimira.

A free area and we can walk to the sea.

One man came paddling his board.

Here is a sea bath, but it's private and we continue to walk.

Just wonder, what is this, private apartments or a hotel ?

Now we have come to a free and open bath.

Not many people here, it's not tourist season anymore.

At the end of this beach we found a place where small boats could be hired.

This looks like some kind of well, it collect water that comes from land.

Nice style of the building, but not very old.

From the outside. Here we met a fisherman who has got a small shark, exiting to see.

A cafe and we took a break to rest, today it's warmer, maybe 25 degree C.

Nice plays but only a few people here.

Suddenly we hear some strange noise. Five aero planes came in formation, is it a war going on, because we see smoke coming up where the old town is ? No it's just a show, strange that we haven't seen any information about it.

After a while the stones at the beach got bigger and the people fewer.

The last part we couldn't follow the beach and go up to the street.

Now we follow the street the last part.

Here it looks to be finer grain sand.

Longer walk.

When we thought about something to eat this appear. I can read PIZZA on the menu, fine, let us eat hear. To our disappointment the kitchen was closed, only drinks.

Here the peninsula ends and a harbor opens up.

Wonderful place and we are alone. That's how we normally have it because we always travels off season, we can't withstand the heat during the summer.

We walk back, now we walks more into land. A painting of the well we saw earlier, maybe it was something special with it.

At last we found a restaurant, this time we eat pasta.

Town Hall:

On the way back we met Julia, she was on the way where we just had walk, talk for a moment and then we continue into old town. Here is the Town Hall.

This was a 5 km walk, not very long but it was hot. But still we took a rest at the room, our new room.

At the evening we walked down to the harbor as we usually do, here is a young man playing saxophone. Great music and he had many listeners.

The solar system model: Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury.

A new sunset and this fine evening there were plenty of people here.

A ferry has anchored up here at the Northern harbor, the Jadrolinija line.

After the Sun was down we walked back to our square.

 Church of St Anastasia, behind the Bell Tower.

Something more to eat of course, a plate with proschuto and bread.

Our new room, not as great as the former we had. But it's big and we have a kitchen and living in old town.
