One week by car at island of Sardinia, 2017

Cala Gonone to Olbia, day 8:

Cala Gonone:

This last day we have plenty of time before we have to be at the airport in Olbia. We examine the hotel, all places we had stayed at has been very fine, but this hotel is some extra.

This is the terrace just outside our room.

A tomato to breakfast and a lot of other things to eat.

The breakfast was on the lower terrace with a view over the harbor. The name of the hotel is Pop.

Collecting our stuff and checked out, even this place is going to be closed for the season in these days.

When we arrived to Cala Gonone we came the big south-west road down, now when we are leaving we took the small north road up the mountain, stay here to have a view over the bay and Cala Gonone.

Orosei:

Before we came to Orosei we passed this Orosei Marbles. An enormous area with stones everywhere.

Cala Liberotto:

We found another beach that we visited, Spaggia di Cala Liberotto.

Countless of beaches we have visited now.

La Caletta:

Driving north and came to the village La Caletta, we stayed a while in the port.

Beautiful old wooden fishing boats.

Loiro Porto San Paolo:

Time for lunch, we wanted to eat lunch at a beach restaurant. We visited a lot of places until we found one that was open, this restaurant at Lu Impostu was closed. We are now not far away from village Loiro Porto San Paolo.

At last we found one that was open.

The island you see out there is Isola Tavolara.

We are now just 5 km from the airport in Olbia. But first we must leave our car at the rental office.

It was not so easy to find the way back to the car rental office even if we had the GPS. Lot of new roads and blocked roads. When we at last got to the office there was no problem to leave the car and the girl at the rental droved us to the airport.

Olbia Airport:

Last charge of the telephones before we board the plan.

Just when we leave the restaurant and board the plane, an accident happens. A lady behind us stumbles and falls handless in the floor. She and her husband are also from Sweden and are going home now. Unfortunately, she falls so hard and strikes her head, maybe she gets a lighter brain shake, she wasn't allowed to go on board the plane, she must visit the hospital, which is an unfortunate end to their vacation. We are waiting for them the longest, but have to go on board the plane after a while.

On the other hand, maybe they got one more week at Sardinia, not bad !
