Round trip in Andalusia in Spain, Cadiz, part 3: |
Seville:At Seville railway station, they tried to tempt me to buy a new car, a Jeep. Yes, I like the car, but continue with the earlier plan and took the train. We have our train waiting on rail 7. The ticket cost 16 Euros each. Cadiz:Cadiz, the train took us all the way to the old city of Cadiz.
Cadiz harbor, a cruiser with the name Viking, could it be a Swedish ship? And what is it doing here far away from Sweden? Plaza de San Juan de Dios, from our apartment we had a view over this square. Our apartment and its stair house. We started with a walk along the alleys. The old town of Cadiz isn't big, just 1.2 km across.

The Moon, in Sweden we never have the Moon that high above us. The gate to our apartment, the house is built already 1786. Cathedral de Cadiz.

Behind this old Roman ruins there is a Roman Theatre, the museum was closed today so we couldn't get in there.
Now we walk to south of Cadiz to see the Gate.

After the visit at the beach we go back to the old town again, the main gate.

After the long walk we were tired and hungry. At the market place we took a rest and eat some food. |
Torre Tavira, this tower was exiting, it gave us a terrific view over the city.
Inside the tower was also held a Camera Obscura show.
North direction and the Atlantic Ocean. The tide has come in now, water all the way up to the walls. Castillo the Santa Catalina.

Could it be the king Juan Carlos Royal Yacht? Dinner in the alley, this time we could sit outdoors.
