Andalusia in ten days
MaroThe last day in Almunecar we took a bus trip to nearby Maro and Nerja. The Eagle Aqueduct in Maro, it was built in Roman style to deliver water to the nearby sugar factory Las Mercedes. The aqueduct still in use but not the sugar factory.
In the opposite direction of the aqueduct is an old bridge. After the aqueduct we walk up the mountain to the famous caves. A short rest at the local restaurant and bought some water. Why is it always so much upwards? The Nerja Caves, in the tickets was included an introduction movie about the cave, the cave visit, train tickets down to Nerja and also tickets for the museum in Nerja.

The caves was fantastic, never seen something that big, it must have been more than 10 meters high in some places. I was so taken by the cave that I came after the group, the guide had to blink with his flashlight on me so I speed up. The train that took us down to Nerja.
