Chrysler Crossfire
Checking the rubber bushings and the ball joints in suspension

This is one information page of my collection of what I have repaired on my Crossfire.

Note:
You should not do any repair on your car if you don't have enough experience and knowledge! You use this information at your own risk! Don't blame me if something goes wrong.

Content:

If you have a Mercedes SLK R170 with a 320 engine it's almost exact the same.

Note:
You have to work with critical parts when doing work on suspension. Only do this if you have enough knowledge !

The rear suspension has 32 rubber bushings and ball joints, all of them must be in perfect condition.

The fourth and fifth arm are upper control arms. One pointing to the center and one to front of the car. In total there are three arms pointing to the center and two pointing towards the front of the car.

As standard there is no possibility to adjust the camber angle on the rear suspension. But there are after market control arms that let you do that.

As you see there are a lot of control arms that hold the suspension together. But don't worry, they are cheap to buy, but the labor cost to replace them can be high.
