5, Fjugesta to Stockholm, day fiveFjugesta:After we woke up we started to examine what house we had bringed the night at. It's very big and outside our room we had the living room. There are two annex to the big villa also. This B&B is placed far away out in the forest. If it had not been a lot of trees it could have been a perfect place for astrophotographing. 9 am it was time for breakfast. As we are used to we got a delicious breakfast. The house from outside, Vekhyttegården. We say goodbye to our host and start driving home. Glanshammar:Needed a break and stop at Glanshammar church, there are something interesting for us to see at this place. A runestone buried in the wall, very common to find runestones as part of the building of churches. More to read about Glanshammar at Wikipedia:
We know there is another runestone inside the church, the door was open so ... Yes there it is, into the floor under the door. The inscriptions says "Sigrik lät resa stenen efter Redogen, sin son, en dugande ung man, och Udd och Fröstem" in English "Sigrik erected this stone, his son, en good man, and Udd and Frösten" |

A third stone was outdoors in the surrounding wall. Nearby the church there is an ancient grave field, much older then the church. A stone ship. Gunilla examine a hill that is a grave. Jäder:Driving along the small roads in South of the lake Mälaren we fund this church, Jäder's church. One more runestone. And more ... Nearby is a house with a sign, "Axel Oxenstierna". A Swedish statesman, born 1583, died 1654 and buried here at Jäder's church. More to read about Axel Oxenstierna at Wikipedia:

Back to the church and examine the walls, more runestones. This runestone is special, a round sphere. Some says they belongs to women, others not.
Enough with old churches and runestones, now we want some food ! Turinge:At Turinge not far from Södertälje we found a nice little cafe. A cozy interior and we took some tasty sandwiches to eat. This five days tour turned out to be very interesting with astronomy and old Swedish history. Even if the weather forecast wasn't very good we got sunshine some hours every day. The END
