Here, on the northeastern side are towering cliffs that plunge straight into the Atlantic Ocean. We stay a long time here and enjoying the view.
When we stood here and looking of the dramatic lights on the clouds we could here someone plying his bagpipe far away. Isle of Skye, Staffin:Now it is not far from Staffin and we realize that it is getting late to find an accommodation. Darkness comes quickly. At 10 am we knock on the door at an old ladies house who kindly offered us a room to stay in, and breakfast was included. She left us alone in the morning for some matters, who dare to do so in Sweden?
Isle of Skye, Quiraing:Today we leave the Isle of Skye. We take a narrow road over the mountains Quiraing to the western direction.

Eilean Donan Castle, bombed and rebuilt from 1912 to 1930. Here we have everything an old Castle shall have. For the first time on our travel we see a Scotsman in a kilt. However, no bagpipes, he plays on violin. Not surprising we can read that many movies has been recorded here. Loch Duich.

Scotland has its own currency but pound currency is the same throughout UK. It's fine to pay with "English" pounds in Scotland but it can be difficult to pay with Scottish pounds in England. Sgurr Fhuaran:We passing a beautiful area close to Sgurr Fhuaran mountains, no I don't know how to pronounce this resort name.
Fort Augustus:Fort Augustus.
The wheel to open and close the locks. Today electric motors do the job. The boat Ocean Lady started up, lot of smoke coming. One of the locks.
It's very similar to our Swedish Göta Canal. An old wooden bridge.
Here in Fort Augustus' we relaxed after todays relatively long drive. We found a nice pub with tasty food and beer.
