8. Left, Right, Height micro adjustment

The fine focus adjustment is working in manual mode now. But it could also be good to have some fine adjustment of the object in side ways and up and down. It's not same demands of precision but it should be stable.

Left and right fine adjustment rail:

In some way it's a copy of my focus rail. I only have one guide rail, two is better but I save some space with this. If I design a new maybe I add one more rail. Now it's a 6 mm bar, 5mm will be enough and save some space.

The threaded 6 mm bar will be replaced with a stainless steel bar later. A thumb wheel will be added on it later.

The two open holes will be the mechanism to adjust the object in height. Function like car jack with two parallel screws. It could also be a sax construction. Have to think about it for a while.

Next day the screw is replaced with one in stainless steel and the knob is in place.

I tried different design of the mechanics for the height adjustment, but all to complicated. Needed something simplier. Suddenly I saw it in front of me, the tool I use when I do soldering. It's called Third man hand.

Here it's, two adjustable arms and stable enough for this macro device. The magnification glass there is no need for and not the stand either.

Need a stand so I can attach it on the sled. Once again the 3D-printer has to do some work.

3rd Hand installed on the sled. Now I can move the macro object in all possible directions.

As it is now I don't think I have to change anything in the mechanics. The only left to add is the stepper motor, that comes later. Now I have to take a lot of macro photos to get some experiences.
