4, Disassemble the motor control module:This is the motor control module, lots of people still call it resistor, but nowadays its a control module with electronic components inside it. This module control the speed of the blower motor. Normally this control module is not included with a new blower / motor. You have to shift it over to the new blower. Two torq screws hold it. Loosen the red and blue cable gently, don't rip of the connectors of the control module! The cooler of the control module has a lot of dirt, blow it away! Now we have to install the control module on the new blower. There are a small differences between the old and the new blower fan. But everything fitted as it should. When I ordered it there were a lot of manufacturer of these blowers / motors. Just be careful to get the one that fit left or right hand drive cars! Be gentle when tightening the screws, the blower chassis is made of plastic! Torq screw. Reconnect the blue wire, don't mix them up! The contact on both the motor and the electronics module is made of plastic. Do not use force, wring the connectors side to side and gently push them in place so that you do not break anything! Reconnect the red wire, with the new blower I got a new red wire, I don't know why. Maybe some older cars have small difference makes of the blower. You can spray some anti oxidation agent on the connectors.
