3, Schematics and error codes:Now I must go deeper into this problem. There are drawing on the Chrysler Crossfire forum so I can check the wires, but not so easy to find the cables in the car. Maybe I can use the OBD reader and get some code out to check that the switches deliver correct signal to the control unit. Chrysler Crossfire and Schematics:![]() At the Chrysler Crossfire forum you can find schematics and a lot of other information that help you to repair your car. Here is a good place to start at: Chrysler Crossfire forum Documantation. You have to register as a member to open these documents. My Crossfire is a non SRT and a coupe, I use the document: "2004 Crossfire (Coupe Only) Service Manual". ![]() The chapter 8Q is about the: Vehicles Theft Security ![]() For my problem maybe the interesting part are at Q-32 "Alarm Trips On Its Own" and the Schematics at Q-44, Q-45. List of connectors pin number and cable colors:I have to make a table of all these wires of interest to get a clear view: Central Locking Pump
* If the resistance is below 10k Ohm from pin to ground, its broken. Check fuse 9, 10 Ampere. List of alarm triggers:From chapter 8Q-47 there is a list of what can trigger the alarm.
In my car I don't think number 2 and 6 are active. I have the siren replaced with a non original one and the radio has for long periods been disconnected and still theft alarm works. Read the information on page 8Q-47, there are more information about details there. Error codes:![]() With the OBD reader I can check if there are any error codes stored in the ECU (motor controller). It's clear, no error. ![]() Also check if there are any pending error codes, no problem here either. |
