2, Transport from Sweden to Switzerland:

From Sweden to Switzerland:

This must have been an exciting day for Helmut, Sindbad arrives in a big container in Switzerland, Helmut's own country.

Helmut tells:
When I first saw the boat, I was thrilled.

Helmut tells:
Due to the narrow hull the transport from Stockholm to Solothurn was no problem. No special or exceptional transport and therefore absolutely acceptable in terms of costs.

This is interesting to see, it looks that Sindbad had rectangular windows earlier. I know I have seen photos of Pettersson boats which have square windows, maybe one of them could be Sindbad in an earlier version. I shall do a search once again.

Helmut tells:
As stated earlier, the boat was already quite heavily restored / converted. The typical bow shape (arrowhead) was covered with a plank. A restoration of this conversion would not have made sense.

A first look inside:

It's very interesting to see the inside of the boat, very similar to my father's Monalisa.

Helmut tells:
The engine in the boat was old (see previous Owner). Based on your research, I'm not sure it was a Volvo Penta anymore. More of that in later parts.

All photographs taken here on the boat Sindbad are owned by Helmut, they are used here with his permission.
