Chrysler Crossfire
RCM, Relay Control Module

This is one information page of my collection of what I have repaired on my Crossfire.

Note:
You should not do any repair on your car if you don't have enough experience and knowledge! You use this information at your own risk! Don't blame me if something goes wrong.

Content:

If you have a Mercedes SLK R170 with a 320 engine it's almost exact the same.

Note:
You have to work with the electric parts when removing the RCM module. Disconnect the battery, the negative terminal ! When disconnecting the battery the alarm and radio will be reset, be sure to have any codes that's needed!

Place the lid with the backend first, can be tricky to have it in place. Don't use any big force.

Check that the lid is in correct position, push the slider locking mechanism to left, back of the car. Important because it must be water tight..

Back in the car and try to start the engine. Yes ! It started directly, did I fix this problem now or will it come back ? I drove the car about 15 miles with lot of stops and starts. No problem yet.

You must also initiate the alarm fob keys. You can read here how to do it: Anti theft alarm.
