3, Soldering the circuit board:Now it's time to inspect the circuit board for bad soldering. The arrow point to the three soldering points which is common to be bad. But I also check all the other soldering points, all of them were ok. You need a magnifying glass to see it. With high magnification you see the problem with the bad soldering. They are not soldered correct. Strange, how could Mercedes do a mistake like this ? Must have cost them a fortune to correct it on all cars, even the Mercedes has this RCM module. Maybe the soldering machine couldn't handle the edges of the circuit board and got to low temperature here when soldering. Maybe this step was not necessary, but I suck away the old tin. Sorry, couldn't hold the soldering iron in place for illustration when taking this photography. I got to remove most of the old tin. Soldering the three contact points, place some solder paste on it before to handle any left corrosion better. Now it looks much better, I don't think you have to do this once more the coming ten years. Cleaned it up and put it back in the enclosure. Gentle push it down until the hooks grab the lid.
