Comment : | One more photo of the Open cluster NGC 6039. It's at the distance of 4000 ly and it has more than 500 stars in its cluster. One degree away is the galaxy NGC 6946 , it also has the name Fireworks galaxy. The galaxy is weak with its 10.5 magnitude. There are more interesting objects there to look at: NGC 6939 plate solved. |

Comment : | This is a new object to me, it have just come around the corner of the house. It's an open cluster of stars. Stars are easy to take photographs of from the balcony even with high light pollution. It doesn't looks very impressive, but click on the photo above and all details are there. |

Comment : | Zooming in on the open cluster NGC 6939. That's the object up to right. It was discovered already by William Herschel 1798. It has a magnitude of 7.8 and can't be find without a telescope. When looking closer there is another object at lower left, a weak spiral galaxy, NGC 6946, magnitude 9.6. |

Comment : | A beautiful open cluster with the nearby Fire Works galaxy very small apparent galaxy NGC 6946. Compare this photo with the others above taken with 1/3 of the focal lenght. I want to know what more objects there are in its surroundings. NGC 6939 plate solved, credits Astrometry. But only the galaxy and the open cluster can be found. |
