Satellites

Many people feel it's exciting to watch for satellites. Maybe not my favorite, with one exception. International Space Station.

Comments:

If I had taken those photographs today (2025) I would use the following of my equipment.

Camera Lens / Telescope Reducer / Barlow Mount Comment
Nikon D800 TS130, 910 mm f/7 x1 SkyWatcher EQ6 Follow the satellite
Nikon D800 Pentax 300 mm f/4 x1 SkyWatcher HEQ5 Wide field
Canon 6D Canon 50 mm f/1.8 x1 SkyWatcher Star Adventurer Comet with long tails
Canon 6D Tokina 20-35 mm f/3.5-4.0 x1 SkyWatcher Star Adventurer Wide angle zoom

Satellites are fast moving objects. If you want to see any details of it you must setup your mount to follow it and then filmed it.
