The open cluster M37 with Milky way in the background. Discovered 1654 by an Italian astronomer.
About the angle size of the Moon, 0.5 degree, and at a distance of 4500 ly.
Of its 500 stars at least ten are red giants.
Upper right is another open cluster, M36.
