Comment : | One of the biggest asteroids, discovered already 1851 by Annibale de Gasparis. It's not spherical, it's elongated, 231 x 270 km. It has an orbital period of 1571 days. It's too weak even when it's closest to Earth to be seen by naked eye. Even if this photo is fully covered by the Milky Way in the background it's empty from interesting objects, plate solved: Asteroid image. |
