Martim Moniz metro:The first thing to do this morning was to take a walk to the metro station Martim Moniz. We bought three new 24 hours bus & tram tickets. Arco da Rua Augusta:From metro station down to Arco da Rua Augusta. It's not the first time we passing by this arch, it's very impressive to look at. It was built after the earthquake 1755. Comercio Plaza:From this square Comercio Plaza most busses and trams stop. From here we took the tram no 25E to Belem, about a 20 minutes travel along the coast. Torre de Belem:At the Belem tram station we got off, a short walk down to the harbor where the Belem tower is placed. We have to walk along the bridge above the road to reach the tower. We went here about ten a clock, that's when most museums open. Just 30 minutes later it was very crowded of people here. More to read about Torre de Belem at Wikipedia:
Make your own juice with pedal power. Along the harbor where we walk we found a coffee shop. We took a rest and had beautiful view over the Atlantic ocean. |
