Gärdesloppet 2006Once again we visited Gärdesloppet, a car meeting at Djurgården. This time I tried to focus on the small details.This is the first time i show these photos, but many car are the same as in earlier meetings. You will find more links on the older photo reports from 2004. I will come back with more information when I have figured it out. 1970 years Volvo Amazon, these Amazons where used as police cars in Sweden in the 1960s and part of 1970s. T-Ford racer, 1910s. 1951 years Volvo PV 444, this car was very popular in Sweden and exported to other countries too.
Ford pickup, this one must be of year 1947 or earlier. This early pickup is based on the car-chassis. From year 1948 and later the pickups has there own chassis. These later models are called F100 and are the most popular Ford.

1939 years Bantam Coupe, have seen this car earlier and was unknown for me. Now I know to my surprise it's an American car.

Maybe a 1939 years Cadillac Series 70 convertible. Our Swedish Royal family have had a lot of Cadillac. I think this one was borrowed this day to transport Princess Lilian.

U.S. pickup, 1930s. This was the last car we saw and many had already left the area. After this we took a walk back to city. On our walk back to city we came across this. A Dodge Brothers. A 1937 years Dodge Senior 246 De Lux. Wow... this was exactly the same Dodge like that one my father had in the 1950s. First time for me to see it in real life. My father told me how he got this car with the engine packed in small boxes. Dodge 1937. I wasn't born in that time when my father had his Dodge, but my sisters has told me how they traveled around in Sweden with this car on father's vacations.
