1, Find the location of the engine air filters and loosen them:
Note: The V6 engine has two air filters thay are mounted on the backside of the main cover, the big silver colored part here. Before loosen the main cover, take away the two air inlet tubes. Pull them back slightly and move them aside. Take it easy, they are of plastic material and easily break. Do the same procedure on the other side. Use both your hands and hold them where the arrows are (I couldn't because I use my other hand to hold the camera). Pull upwards gently, wiggle towards the sides a bit and it will come loose. Tilt it up about 30 degrees in the front first and then loosen it at the back end. There are five spring loaded clamps that hold it in place, three at the front and two at the back end. With the main cover away the air inlet to the engine will be exposed. Don't drop anything in here, it will be very expensive to take the engine apart and get it away. Cover the inlet with something. Now on the backside of the main cover the two filter chambers can be seen, each is hold by four screws. Two of the screws. It's Torx screws of size T25. Unscrew all eight of them but not all the way out, it should still be hold of the filter cover. With the filter cover away it looks like this. This chamber has direct passage to the inlet of the engine. Clean it carefully from dirt. Even a very small stone or sand can destroy your engine completely. The filter cover with the old filter. Pull it out with some tool from the filter cover. Notice, the filter has a trap step, two different heights. This side of the chamber is connected to the free air, there are always dirt here, clean it.
