My travel in Europe:

Day 3, Cuevas Drach, Alcudia, Pollenca, Inca

Early up in the morning, breakfast and then we went to the car we have hired for three days.

Hotel Cupidor at Peguera:

Outside our room we have this tree, looks like an orange tree.

Cuevas Drach:

We set direction direct to the Cuevas Drach. Famous caves on Mallorca island. It's on the Eastern side of the island, opposite to where we live.

We got our guided tour at 12 pm, until then we waited at the cafe about 40 minutes.

All people collected, about 200 persons. We enter the cave from this entrance.

Continue deeper into the cave, the temperature is about 14 C degrees.

As usual caves has fantastic shapes of the rocks, stalactites hanging down from the roof.

Inside the cave there is a lake. At the end of the tour there was a concert. The musicians comes sailing on the lake and played there music.

After the concert we have to climb upwards to the outlet, not the same as we entered.

A last look at the lake and then we were out in the sunshine.

Pollentia Roman ruins:

Next stop was a Roman ruin, but when we got there it was closed. The homepage told it was open until 3 pm, bad.

We could get a glimpse of parts of the ruins from the nearby parking lot.

The Roman cities name was Sa Portella.

There were more ruins, we followed a walk path, but could see anything, too far away from the fence.

It has been used as a military camp in the 1st century BC.

Behind the hill is the Roman Theater.

Alcudia:

Pellentia is where todays city Alcudia is. That city has an old town preserved.

We walked along the old alleys, lots of nice restaurants here.

Portal del Moll:

A twin portal tower from 14th.

After eating a tapas mix we wanted to drive up in the mountains before the dark.

Leaving the old city from the main gate.

700 years old and still standing up, impressive.

We have the car parked nearby and can start driving towards the mountains immediately.

Pollenca:

Start driving along the coast and then up to Pollenca.

Somewhere close to Lluc we could stop and get a view over the landscape.

After this, driving down hills to the city Inca and then home to Peguera.

At the hotel we had the Moon waiting for us, I wish that we had clear nights like this at our home in Stockholm.
